He prides himself on being a no nonsense Fitness Professional who serious about one thing. Achieving you results faster than anyone.

Tyler’s work ethic and dedication to goals and a results oriented lifestyle is apparent in his own body of work. He earned the honor of a Professional Natural Bodybuilder with the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation (WNBF) in only 3 years of competition and prides himself on training more like a world-class athlete than your typical gym going bodybuilder.

In his 5 years in the Farmington Valley he has helped well over 400 people change they way they look, feel and move. Having worked in the fitness industry for over 8 years, Tyler continuously saw the same thing occurring at gyms and health clubs. People would repeatedly sign a one or two-year membership with the belief this was the place they were going to get in shape. When the truth was many of these soon-to-be frustrated exercisers would end up right back where they started.

Tyler had a vision for a facility that would allow only those seriously committed to creating the lifestyle change that is your personal health and fitness. After the massive success of Farmington Valley Fitness Boot Camp, and it’s rapid growth in only 2 short months of existence. Tyler English Fitness, Connecticut’s Number # 1 Hardcore Gym For Serious Results, was opened.

Tyler earned his Bachelors Degree in Communications and Marketing from Franklin Pierce College in New Hampshire. While in college Tyler’s love for fitness grew and he realized his true calling was in the fitness industry.  He worked as the Head Strength and Conditioning Consultant at the campus recreation and fitness center and expanded his work with the pitching staff of the nationally ranked Franklin Pierce Ravens baseball team.

Upon graduation Tyler worked in a small handful of gyms and health clubs over a 5 year span before he realized he wanted more. He wanted to create a place where people were always motivated, driven and would stop at nothing to obtain life-changing results.  In 2008, Tyler started out in his mission to change the face of fitness in Farmington Valley. On January 12th he founded Farmington Valley Fitness Boot Camp. The program has grown to be featured on NBC Connecticut, FOX 61 and WTNH Channel 8, while helping hundreds of busy men and women from all over Connecticut get into the best shape of their lives.

Rob English

Rob English is a former active duty Marine where he served his country for 5 years.

While active Rob went above and beyond his peers reaching the rank of Sergeant. It didn’t take Rob long to stand out amongst others. He quickly took a liking for MCMAP (Marine Corps Martial Arts Program). After training with his lieutenant for about a year and a half, Corporal English at the time was asked to be one out of 300 Marines to attend the mental, physical, and characteristically demanding Green Belt Martial Arts Instructors Course, one of the Marine Corps’  most difficult courses. Shortly after graduating the course, he started working towards his Brown Belt.Cpl English quickly attained his brown belt faster than your average Marine… do to his hard work and dedication.

While training other Marines in Martial Arts Cpl English noticed some major flaws with the way the Marine Corps Body Composition Program was being run. The program was in desperate need of structure. Cpl English was no dummy when it came to working out, as he had been the skinny kid most of his life. He started “lifting weights” with his brother Tyler at their local Boys and Girls Club growing up at the age of 14. Cpl English approached his Sergeant Major (a huge role model in his life) and had told him what he saw and asked if he could help with the BCP. Sgt Maj welcomed Cpl English to help.

It didn’t take long for the Sgt Major to realize that this Marine was no joke when it came to physical fitness. All it took was about 1 workout before the BCP was being overseen by Cpl English, a Staff Non-Commissioned Officers Billet (roughly 8 years of service), under the supervision of Sgt Maj for the purpose of supervision. English quickly found that he wanted to go to another one of those elite MC courses called Combat Conditioning Specialist Course.

Combat Conditioning Specialist’s were to assist in the way the MC looked at physical fitness and change it permanently. This curriculum covered a ton of nutrition, along with some kettle bell and medicine ball work, to give you an idea.

With more tools in his box, Cpl English returned back to his unit where he continued to excel with the BCP and instructing Martial Arts. As weeks went by, more Marines improved on not only their Physical Fitness Test, but many of them were released from BCP, lost weight, lost body fat, inches, felt the healthiest in some cases their entire life,  and most importantly, they were eating right!

While working his 20 hour days, partially voluntary, English found time to work on his Black Belt. Soon enough, his hard work and dedication paid off and Cpl English was awarded a Black Belt Martial Arts Instructor Certification, a task to be achieved only by him at his rank on his entire base.  After a brilliant career with the Marine Corps, Rob is taking what he has learned and instilling it into a program that is second to none, bringing a sense of pride, delivering results and satisfaction to all of those who accept his challenge.
